Earth's greatest natural resource is water. Formed in 1927, the Greenlawn Water District is responsive to the needs of all its residents and consumers for the uninterrupted supply of the purest possible water. As provider and guardian of this most valuable resource, we are pledged to fulfill the following mission:

  • To deliver a pure and plentiful water supply to our consumers with sufficient pressure at reasonable cost.

  • To safeguard our community by maintaining adequate storage reserves, especially for fire protection purposes.

  • To be vigilant in identifying and protecting our precious water supply from all potential sources of contamination, to promote conservation, and to cooperate with all local and New York State regulatory agencies.

Our hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our Emergency Phone number is 631-261-0874.

All regular GWD meetings are now held at the
Water District office 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays.
