Defer Payment Request due to COVID-19 Pandemic

  • Residential consumers who have experienced financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic are entitled to request deferral of water bill payments without incurring late fees or penalties, as per a recent amendment to Public Service Law. Greenlawn Water District Commissioners are offering consumers the opportunity to defer payment of up to four (4) water bills for six (6) months from the due date of the last bill.

    Please note that no termination or disconnection of a residential service shall be done by the District at any time for non-payment of a water bill, taxes or charges. See check boxes below.

  • I, as the owner of the above-mentioned property am formally requesting a payment deferral due to financial hardship experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic of the following:

  • By my consent below, I acknowledge that I will be responsible to pay, in full, for all water bills received during my deferment period at the conclusion of this deferment agreement. If my accumulated water bills from the deferment period remain unpaid once the deferment ends, the outstanding balances will be submitted to the Town Board (per section 215, subdivision 12 of the Town Law of the State of New York) and added to my next scheduled tax bill.
