NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the Greenlawn Water District, at an organizational meeting thereof at the Water District Office on Monday, January 2, 2023, duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of which is as follows:  “AND, WHEREAS, a regular schedule of meetings of the Greenlawn Water District shall be established by the Board of Commissioners; and RESOLVED that all regular meetings will be held at the District Offices (45 Railroad Street, Greenlawn, NY) at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays. Notice of the 2023 meetings schedule and changes or cancellations will be published in the Long Islander, and posted at Commack, Harborfields and Elwood Libraries.  In addition, the meeting schedule will be posted on the Town of Huntington and Greenlawn Water District websites.”

Commissioner McLaughlin Re-elected

In an election that featured a near record turnout, Commissioner John T. McLaughlin was re-elected to a new three-year term as Commissioner. Mr. McLaughlin, who has served the Greenlawn Water District as Commissioner since 1996, prevailed with 255 votes. His new term begins on January 1, 2023 and runs through December 31, 2025.

Please be advised that the Board of Elections of the Greenlawn Water District shall meet on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., at the Greenlawn Water District office, 45 Railroad Street, Greenlawn, NY, for the purpose of preparing the rolls of registered voters of the Greenlawn Water District.

The annual election of the Greenlawn Water District will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022, between the hours of 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., at the Greenlawn Water District office, 45 Railroad Street, Greenlawn, NY.

Please note that in 2022, as per the Board of Elections rules and regulations, only those persons who have registered with the County Board of Elections on or before the 23rd day before the Water District Election Day shall be eligible to vote.  In 2022, such registration must take place on or before November 18, 2022.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Greenlawn Water District will take place on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Greenlawn Water District office located at 45 Railroad Street, Greenlawn, NY, for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a three-year term, commencing on January 1, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2025.  All duly registered residents of the Greenlawn Water District shall be eligible to vote.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Commissioners of the Greenlawn Water District, 45 Railroad Street, Greenlawn, New York, until Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 9:00 AM prevailing time when they will be publicly opened for a 2008 Ford F150 Pick Up.

Minimum bid is $3,000.00.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Commissioners of the Greenlawn Water District, 45 Railroad Street, Greenlawn, New York, until Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 9:00 AM prevailing time when they will be publicly opened for a 2009 Ford F150 Pick Up.

Minimum bid is $3,000.00.

The Board of Commissioners of the Greenlawn Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award to the highest responsible bidder who in their judgment submits the most advantageous proposal to benefit the District and is pursuant to Section 103 of General Municipal Law.

Trucks to be sold in “as is” condition.  Name, address, phone number of bidder and shall appear on the envelope containing the sealed bid. The envelope must also specify the make and model of truck being bid on (“2008 Ford F150” or “2009 Ford F150”).

Trucks may be inspected October 7, 2022 through October 18, 2022 at above address between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday.
